Mubarakan is the first film that brings uncle Anil Kapoor and nephew Arjun Kapoor together. The film has been directed by the famous Welcome series director Anees Bazmee and he certainly delivers a big Punjabi Family drama.

The story is about identical twins Karan and Charan whose parents die in a road accident and even though they have a bachelor uncle Kartar Singh (Anil Kapoor), he prefers his brother in India Baldev (Pavan Malhotra) and their sister Jeeto (Ratna Pathak) in London bring up the boys in their respective homes.

The time for marriage arrives and Jeeto chooses her twin Karan for the rich Binkle (Athiya Shetty), but Karan is in love with Sweety (Illeana D’Cruz) and tells everyone that let Charan go and see Binkle. However even Charan is in love with the Muslim girl Nafisa (Neha Sharma).

What unfolds next is the double trouble between Karan and Charan, who is Arjun Kapoor and how they are unable to come out with the truth about their girlfriends. To the rescue is Kartar Singh and then follows major family drama because Kartar’s tricks are slightly on the edge, for example declaring innocent and nerdy Charan as a drug addict.

Mubarakan has an excellent pace of comedy and drama and is definitely a winner for both Uncle Anil Kapoor and Nephew Arjun Kapoor. The music of the film composed by music directors Amaal Malik, Gourov Roshin and Rishi Rich are also entertaining and keep you dancing to the beats of the love triangles.

This will be one of Arjun’s best films, each character have done their parts wonderfully and big credit also goes to the Screenplay writers Balwinder Singh Janjua and Gurmmeet Singh, they surely can whip up something interesting.
